Help & FAQs

Welcome to the Help Center

Welcome to the official Virgin Bet Help and Support Center. We are dedicated to providing our customers with a seamless, enjoyable, and secure online betting experience. Whether you have a question about verifying your account, making a withdrawal, understanding how our betting rules apply to a specific sport, or claiming a promotion, you will find comprehensive and detailed answers in the sections below.

If you cannot find the solution to your issue in this guide, our dedicated Customer Support team is available around the clock to assist you via Live Chat or Email through the Virgin Bet app.

1. Account Registration & Verification (KYC)

Why do I need to verify my account?

As a fully licensed and regulated online betting operator in Great Britain and Gibraltar, Virgin Bet is legally required to verify the age and identity of every single customer. This process, known as Know Your Customer (KYC), ensures that all our players are over the legal age of 18 and helps us prevent fraud and money laundering.

What documents are required for verification?

In most cases, we attempt to verify your details electronically using the information you provided during registration. However, if this electronic check is unsuccessful, we will ask you to upload manual documentation. You will typically need to provide:

  • Proof of Identity: A clear, color photograph of your valid Passport, Driving Licence, or National ID card.
  • Proof of Address: A recent utility bill (gas, electric, water), bank statement, or council tax bill dated within the last 3 months. The document must clearly show your full name, residential address, and the official company logo.

How long does the verification process take?

Once you have securely uploaded your documents via the Virgin Bet app or website portal, our dedicated verification team aims to review and process them within 24 hours. You will receive an email notification as soon as your account is fully verified and unrestricted.

2. Deposits and Withdrawals

What payment methods can I use to deposit?

We offer a highly secure banking platform that accepts a variety of popular payment methods. You can fund your Virgin Bet account using Visa and Mastercard Debit Cards, PayPal, Revolut Pay, and direct Bank Transfers. Please note that in strict adherence to UK Gambling Commission regulations, we absolutely do not accept credit cards for deposits.

How long do withdrawals take to reach my bank account?

We pride ourselves on offering some of the fastest payout times in the online betting industry. The time it takes for funds to reach you depends entirely on the withdrawal method you select:

  • Visa Direct (Fast Funds): If your bank supports Visa Fast Funds, your withdrawal will typically reach your bank account within 2 to 3 hours after approval.
  • PayPal: Withdrawals to your PayPal e-wallet are usually processed within 24 hours.
  • Standard Debit Cards & Bank Transfers: These can take between 1 to 3 standard working days to clear, depending on your bank's specific processing times.

Why is my withdrawal still pending?

If your withdrawal has been pending for longer than the estimated timeframes, it is usually because we require additional verification documents to comply with our anti-money laundering obligations, or because the withdrawal is being reviewed by our security team. Please check your email inbox (and spam folder) to see if we have requested any further information from you.

3. Placing Bets, Cash Out, & Settlement

How do I place a bet?

Placing a bet on our platform is incredibly straightforward. Navigate to your desired sport, select the specific match or event, and click on the odds for the outcome you wish to back. This selection will automatically populate in your Bet Slip located on the right side of your screen (or at the bottom of the screen if you are using the mobile app). Enter your chosen stake in the box provided, review your potential returns, and click "Place Bet".

How does the Cash Out feature work?

Cash Out gives you complete control over your live bets. It allows you to take a guaranteed return before an event has finished. The Cash Out amount offered fluctuates in real-time based on the current Virgin Bet odds and the live status of the event. To see if your bet is eligible, navigate to the "My Bets" section and look for the Cash Out button at the bottom of your bet receipt. Please note that Cash Out is not guaranteed to be available at all times.

What happens to my bet if a match is postponed or cancelled?

If a football match or sporting event is postponed, your bet will generally remain valid provided the event is rescheduled and played within 48 hours of the original kick-off time. If the event is entirely cancelled, or rescheduled for a later date beyond the 48-hour window, your bet will be declared void and your initial stake will be fully refunded to your cash balance.

4. Promotions, Free Bets, and Rewards

How do I claim the Welcome Bonus?

New customers are eligible for our exciting Welcome Offer. To qualify, you must register a new account, make a qualifying deposit, and place a bet at the specified minimum odds within your first 14 days. Once your qualifying bet has settled (regardless of whether it wins or loses), your Free Bet tokens will be automatically credited to your account. Full terms and conditions apply to all promotions.

What is Virgin Bet FIVES?

Virgin Bet FIVES is our highly popular, free-to-play weekly game. Every weekday, you log in to reveal a random Premier League football player to add to your five-a-side squad. Once the weekend fixtures begin, you will earn cash directly into your account for every single goal your revealed players score! It is a completely free way to enhance your weekend football viewing.

5. Safer Gambling & Account Controls

How can I set limits on my betting activity?

We are fully committed to Safer Gambling. You can manage your spending by setting strict Deposit Limits on your account. These can be configured on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Once a limit is set, any request to increase the limit will be subject to a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period, while requests to decrease the limit will take effect immediately.

What should I do if I need to take a break from betting?

If you feel that your betting is getting out of control, or if you simply wish to take a pause, we offer several tools to help. You can use the "Time-Out" feature to temporarily block access to your account for a period ranging from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. For a more permanent solution, you can utilize our "Self-Exclusion" tool, which will completely lock your account for a minimum of 6 months up to 5 years.

6. Technical Support & App Troubleshooting

The Virgin Bet app is crashing or running slowly. What should I do?

If you are experiencing performance issues with the Virgin Bet app, we recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps: firstly, ensure that you are connected to a strong and stable Wi-Fi or 4G/5G network. Secondly, check your device's app store to ensure you have the latest version of the application installed. Finally, try force-closing the app and clearing your device's cache before reopening it.

Why does the app need access to my location?

Because online gambling is heavily regulated by geographic borders, we are legally required to verify your physical location before allowing you to place a real-money bet. You must grant the app permission to access your device's Location Services so we can confirm you are situated within Great Britain or another permitted territory.
